–it’s just that very busy time of year when twenty people that I love come through New York in a week and headcolds set in and there’s more of my resumes circulating the interweb than I thought possible. All that with a healthy dose of holiday cheer and Dayquil. It’s my first New York Christmas, I’m looking forward to it and wishing the best for you. Kisses.
A quick note to let you know my mouth paintings are up at a couple of places:
1. Antagonist Art’s Gallery Night at Niagara Bar.
Thursday, December 13, 9 pm – 2 am
Niagara, 112 Ave A(Corner of East 7th St and Ave A, across from Thompkins Sq. Park)
2. Chashama’s/La Superette Holiday Art Sale.
Thursday through Sunday, 2 pm – 8 pm, though Dec 22
112 West 44th St (between Broadway and 6th)
*some of the work is on rotation, so if you don’t see a lemon up, ask!
And thanks to all that came to Dam Stuhltrager Gallery on Friday for the book party. It was great.
Okay, back to “work.”
And by work, I mean I’m writing a story on the future-imperfect.
Kisses.
The kind folks at Dam, Stuhltrager Gallery in Williamsburg are back from Istanbul and opening their doors to us this Friday, December 7, to celebrate the publication of Scrub.
Come by the gallery around 7 on Friday for a few stories, a signed copy of the book ($15!) and a glass of wine (donations welcome).
The gallery is on the corner of Hope and Marcy, one block south of Metropolitan, and on the street just west of the BQE. Take the L/G to Lorimer/Metropolitan, walk west on Metropolitan under the BQE, and hang a left (south) at Marcy, the first left after the expressway. The gallery’s on the next corner, with the old coke sign out front.
If you can’t come, but still want a signed copy, email me (emily dot nemens at gmail dot com), and we’ll sort it out. If you must buy via the internet, please go through Amazon. See you Friday!
